Preface

This is an Edfinity-enhanced edition of Algebra and Trigonometry 2e, published by OpenStax (Rice University).

Numerous enhancements have been made to the original textbook:

  • Real math, not pictures of math. Every expression is rendered from LaTeX, so it is selectable, searchable, and readable by screen readers. The source PDF has no text layer for mathematics at all.
  • Collapsible solutions. Worked solutions sit behind a “click to reveal” control so you can attempt a problem first.
  • Accessible figures. Every figure carries the descriptive alt text authored by OpenStax.
  • Navigable structure. Sections are individually addressable, with a linked table of contents.
